The Stomp-Head 8.Qlone amplifier represents Taurus' original approach, based on the SH8.Qube, but dispensing with tubes. Despite this, the design has been engineered to retain the excellent sound characteristic of tube amplifiers. The MASSIVE and BOOST circuits used internally take care of the guitarist-friendly sound saturation and subtle scratchiness that distinguish this amplifier.

A unique feature of the SH8.Qlone is the ability to connect both a guitar cabinet and a wideband passive PA or Hi-Fi speaker. This significantly expands the field of application of this amplifier, making it a versatile tool for various musical purposes. You can use it as a classic amplifier with a speaker cabinet, but also as a preamp connected directly to a mixer and sound system, using the built-in speaker cabinet simulation.

Alternatively, the Stomp-Head 8.Qlone guitar amplifier can be used directly with a broadband speaker to produce a natural sounding signal from the backing music, while preserving the characteristics of the guitar speaker.

As with other Taurus Stomp-Head designs, the SH8.Qlone amplifier has twice the real-world power reserve. This is to avoid overdriving the power stage and to achieve proper dynamics, especially when playing at maximum volume. Importantly, the amplifier maintains the same power at different speaker impedances: 4, 8 and 16 ohms. The real volume is comparable to a 50W tube amplifier, making the SH8.Qlone an extremely effective stage tool.

All in all, the Stomp-Head 8.Qlone is a full analog design, devoid of digital simulation factors, providing the excellent sound characteristic of tube amplifiers.
